Alex was invincible in the last round of the Scottish Championship held at the Knockhill circuit in Fife.

The meeting named “The Jock Taylor Meeting” after the late Scottish Sidecar World Champion always attracts the Strongest field of the year.

True to form they lined up on the grid; Champions and experienced teams from all parts of the UK.

Alex’s YPE Suzuki had just been rebuilt after a massive crash in the previous meeting at the venue.

However that was not apparent as the youngster proceeded to set the fastest time in morning warm up, in timed qualifying again.

Alex led from the front!

Setting Pole Position with a time of 52.354.

Race one of the day again seen Alex the youngest rider in the championship on his “YPE SUZUKI” lead from the front with a flag to flag victory setting consistent 52 second laps and taking the win 2½ seconds in front of fellow Scot and runner up in this years MRO championship Liam Lyons.

The second race of the day for Alex, which was the last in this years Scottish Super Sport Championship was also the inaugural Niall Mackenzie tribute` race.

The vastly experience racer was indeed billed to take part, unfortunately a emergency appendix operation stopped the retired racers participation.

After only two laps the red flag came out while Alex was leading as another rider had been hurt in a crash on another part of the circuit.

In the restart Alex again took his YPE SUZUKI into the lead and held it until the end, in front of this years MRO Supper Sport 600 champion and ex BSB competitor Andy Weymouth.

This is the last intended race of the season for the Scottish Youngster who due to missing races could only manage 3rd in the championship overall but has looked dominant towards the end of the season, as yet plans for next year are still being assessed.
