Alex Gault 2005...................................................................................................................................Back To Reports News

Alex is steaming ahead for the 2005 season.

2005 is going to be another exciting year.

Continuing Alex love of the exclusive; he has signed a three year contract with the Italian company Malaguti, which gives him the opportunity to move to Moto-GP in 2006.

As Alex prepares to contend the British 125 GP Championships on another extraordinary Motorcycle; one of only five Malaguti GP 125 Bikes in the world.

Alex Gault - 2005 Season

Alex is steaming ahead for the 2005 season. 2005 is going to be another exciting year.

First Race of the Year for Alex

Although not serious and more for track time, we took the chance to visit the N.E.M.C.R.C. meeting on the 19th March at the Croft Circuit just outside Darlington.

British Championship Round 1 - Brands Hatch March 2005

A much different world from what we are used too. Believe the hype! when you hear that this is the biggest domestic championship in the world.

Anglesey - April 2005

Alex took the chance to visit the Wirral 100 motorcycle club test day and first round of their championship at “The Trac-mon” circuit on the Island of Anglesey.

British Championship Round 2 -  Thruxton April 2005

We always knew this would be a difficult round, but we certainly did not foresee how bad it would turn out to be and it is one of them we'd really rather forget.

Wirral 100 “ Oulton Park ”

We took the chance to combine the official BSB test day on the Friday with the second round of this clubs championship on the Saturday at another new track to Alex the picturesque Oulton Park near Chester

British Championship Round 4 - Oulton Park April/May 2005

Have you noticed that there is no report from round three? We had a disastrous weekend. Least said, best forgot!!!

British Championship Round 5 - Mondello Park May 2005

Now I don't know how a round of the British Championship can take place in a foreign country but that's what happens when the championships visits Mondello Park in Éire.

British Championships Round Six - Croft June 2005

This must be the teams most successful round to date, OK it was not Alex highest finishing position in this championship but when you look at the statistics you see a vast improvement across the board.

Aintree - June 2005

The Team took the chance to visit the 2nd round of the Aintree Motorcycle clubs championship held on the 11th June.

Three Sisters - June 2005

It was good to get back to the circuit Alex raced at last year and meet up with some old faces, some of them very old faces!!! Not many things change a few new hands at the wheel but still the same great atmosphere and organisation.

British Championship Round 7 - Knockhill June 2005

Alex has never raced at this local circuit before; only having had a few sessions round it at a practice day last March we did not know what to expect here.

British Championship Round 8 - Snetterton July 2005

So on to Snetterton, we knew it would be difficult to be on the pace here, the fastest straight in the country with the top 125 reaching 135mph.

Three Sister - July 2005 - Lap record for Malaguti!

With the six week summer break from running in the British Championships the team took the chance to return to the JRA/ P&D Championships at Three Sisters on the 30/31st July.

British Championship Round Round 9 - Silverstone August 2005

Here again my incompetence cost us valuable track time, Alex had been involved in an incident in his last club race which damaged the front brake master cylinder.

British Championships Round 10 - Cadwell Park August 2005

As it turns out we had to go to Cadwell to return some parts we had got a lone of at Silverstone, Thanks Phil and Pete.

British Championships Final Round - Brands Hatch October 2005

As many of you may know the events over the past few months has led team moral to be at an all time low, it was very tough, to even prepare for the rounds at Oulton & Donington never mind race there.
