Alex Gault 2004 - Fantastic Start to the New Season for Schoolboy Gault.......................................Back To Index

Alex with his mechanic just before the open 500cc raceAlex Gault, 13 yr old Schoolboy from Central Scotland, had a fantastic 1st round in “The Junior Racing Association’s 125 GP Championship” at the Ty-Coes circuit on Anglesey at the weekend.

In an action packed day, Alex not only won both J.R.A. Races, but also won the Open Single cylinder class.

He made his way up to 4th in the open 500cc class on his E.P.BARRUS backed Moto-roma 125cc GP Bike before crashing out at the Hairpin, Alex remounted to finish the race in 12th  place from the 25 starters.

With confusion through the winter as to what bike he would be racing this year, this is an astounding result, considering he only got the bike the week before, which has been loaned to him for the year, from Londoner Gerry Stacey and this was his first ride on it.

Alex who won the Formula 80 JRA title last year on the E.P.BARRUS backed Motorhispania Rx70.

This is seen as the logical step before hopefully contending the GP 125cc British Championship in 2005.

Alex would like to thank all his sponsors, without whom it would not have been possible.

More details can be found on his dedicated web site at www.minimotoracer.com
